Can you tell something about yourself and your role within NFC

I hold a background in Nutrition and Health and in Food & Beverage market research. Drawing on my experience in data-driven projects for industry leaders and innovators across the globe, I pursue impactful change in food, health, and sustainability. Having joined Next Food Collective in September 2024, I work closely with our theme director Arienne de Jong to accelerate the transition towards a healthy and sustainable food system through purpose-driven collaborations. A key part of my role is project management, helping to coordinate and maximize the impact of projects like MOCIA, an ongoing research programme dedicated to reducing the risk of cognitive decline in ageing by developing tailored lifestyle interventions.

What do you find most enjoyable or inspiring about your work?

I’m inspired by the opportunity to work on real-world challenges that shape the future of food and health. With our Healthy Nutrition & Wellbeing community, we are developing an ambitious impact program that leverages research, innovation, and collaboration. Bringing this to life will be incredibly rewarding.

What impact do you want to make with your work at NFC? How do you contribute to its success?

I want to help translate innovative research and data into practical, scalable solutions that create a healthier and more sustainable food system. By managing impactful projects and fostering strong collaborations, I aim to ensure our initiatives deliver measurable benefits to both industry and society.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside work?

I live in Arnhem with my husband, where I spend time caring for our two cats and four chickens. Besides my love for animals, I also like to unwind outdoors and spend time in cafés and restaurants.

What's a fun fact about yourself that readers probably don’t already know about you?

I have a passion for dance and have been practising ballet for years! It’s a great way to combine discipline, creativity, and movement—just like my work at NFC, where I balance different elements to create meaningful impact.
