- Can you tell something about yourself and your role within NFC?
At NFC, I combine the roles of office manager and project controller. On top of that, I support my colleagues with marketing & communication and IT-related matters. It’s a mix that fits my background and interests perfectly. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Leisure Management from Breda University of Applied Sciences, specializing in event management. Over the years, I’ve worked as an event manager in the cultural and music sector, as well as a functional administrator within IT departments at both a major telecom company and a health insurance provider.
- What do you find most enjoyable or inspiring about your work?
What I really enjoy is the diversity of my role, no two days are the same. The wide range of responsibilities keeps things interesting and constantly challenges me in new ways. Working for a relatively small organization with a broad and varied network of partners also creates a great working atmosphere and makes collaboration with colleagues and management very enjoyable.
- What impact do you want to make with your work at NFC? How do you contribute to its success?
My goal is to use my knowledge and experience to support and take some of the pressure off the team when it comes to office management, finance, and marketing & communication. By doing so, I hope to enable my colleagues to fully focus on the content of the impact programs and projects NFC is working on.
- What hobbies or interests do you have outside work?
I love food, no particular cuisine in mind, as long as it’s tasty and varied. Being born and raised in Eindhoven and a lifelong football fan, I’m a true PSV supporter through and through, Philips blood runs through my veins. I’m also a fan of black coffee and black music, love collecting vinyl records, and enjoy heading out to a good concert or festival every now and then.
- What’s a fun fact about yourself that readers probably don’t already know about you?
On June 13, 2014, when the Netherlands famously beat reigning world champions Spain 1–5, most Dutch fans experienced that historic moment at home with friends or family. I, however, was on the other side of the world, cheering from the stands at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, Brazil. I witnessed Robin van Persie’s iconic flying header live and up close. And yes, I’ve happily watched it many times again on TV since.
