Following the announcement of its leadership transition, Next Food Collective is entering a new phase focused on growth, impact and collaboration in the Agri-Food innovation ecosystem and value chain.
Building on the strong foundation, Next Food Collective has developed into a leading collaboration platform formed by leading knowledge institutes and businesses. As the organisation enters its next phase, Next Food Collective is seeking an entrepreneurial and collaborative Executive Director to lead this journey.
A unique opportunity
As Executive Director, you will lead Next Food Collective through its next phase of development, impact and collaboration. Building on a strong foundation and a highly engaged partner network, you will help shape the future of agrifood innovation and value chain collaboration in the Netherlands and Europe. You will work at the intersection of industry, knowledge institutes and government, translating shared ambitions into impactful innovation programmes, strategic partnerships and new funding opportunities.
Supported by an experienced team of Theme Leads, and working closely with partner organisations, the Supervisory Board and the Non-Executive Director, you will create the conditions for successful programme development, acquisition and execution.
Key focus will be on further growing the organisation’s impact, relevance and visibility, while strengthening collaboration across the broader Agri-Food innovation ecosystem.
Qualified Candidate
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader with a strong network, credibility and recognised standing within the Agri-Food knowledge and innovation ecosystem, combined with experience across the broader agrifood value chain.
The successful candidate combines strategic vision with the ability to execute and deliver results and has a proven track record of building partnerships, securing new opportunities and translating ambitions into tangible outcomes.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in complex multi-stakeholder environments and has the ability to bring together companies, knowledge institutes and public stakeholders around shared ambitions and objectives. Equally important is the ability to position Next Food Collective as a leading platform for collaboration, knowledge development, innovation and value chain collaboration within the Agri-Food ecosystem.
The successful candidate combines entrepreneurial drive with the ability to create long-term value for partners, society and the ecosystem.

Voortbouwend op een sterke basis heeft Next Food Collective zich ontwikkeld tot een toonaangevend innovatieplatform bestaande uit toonaangevende kennisinstellingen en bedrijven. Next Food Collective gaat een nieuwe fase is en is daarom op zoek naar een ondernemende en verbindende Executive Director om de komende periode te leiden.

Als Executive Director geef je leiding aan Next Food Collective in de volgende fase van ontwikkeling, gericht op impact en relevante samenwerking. Voortbouwend op een sterke basis en een zeer betrokken partnernetwerk help je de toekomst van Agri-Food innovatie en samenwerking in de waardeketen in Nederland en Europa vorm te geven. Je opereert op het snijvlak van bedrijfsleven, kennisinstellingen en overheid en vertaalt gezamenlijke ambities naar impactvolle innovatieprogramma’s, strategische samenwerkingen en nieuwe financieringsmogelijkheden.
Ondersteund door een team van ervaren Theme Leads en in nauwe samenwerking met partnerorganisaties, de Raad van Toezicht en de Non-Executive Director creëer je de randvoorwaarden voor succesvolle programmaontwikkeling, acquisitie en uitvoering.
Een belangrijke focus ligt op het vergroten van de impact, relevantie en zichtbaarheid van de organisatie, en tegelijkertijd het versterken van de samenwerking binnen het bredere Agri-Food innovatie-ecosysteem.
Geschikte kandidaat
Wij zoeken een ondernemende en verbindende leider met een sterk netwerk, relevante ervaring en een erkende positie binnen het Agri-Food kennis- & innovatie-ecosysteem, gecombineerd met ervaring in de bredere Agri-Food waardeketen.
De succesvolle kandidaat combineert strategische visie met het vermogen om resultaten te realiseren en beschikt over een bewezen staat van dienst in het bouwen van samenwerkingen, het creëren van nieuwe kansen en het vertalen van ambities naar concrete resultaten.
De ideale kandidaat voelt zich thuis in complexe omgevingen met diverse stakeholders, vanuit zowel kennisinstellingen, bedrijfsleven en overheden en is in staat samenwerking vorm te geven om gedeelde ambities en doelstellingen te realiseren. Het is eveneens van belang te beschikken over het vermogen om de positie van Next Food Collective te positioneren als toonaangevend platform voor samenwerking, kennisontwikkeling, innovatie en ketensamenwerking binnen het Agri-Food-ecosysteem.
